Common Redstart male (Phoenicurus phoenicurus)

After about two months of fruitless searching, I finally found a co-operative pair of Redstarts in late June. Most of the shots I took were standard portraits but this one at least is a little bit different.
Habitat
Heathland
Location
Pirbright Common, Surrey
Date taken
30/6/08
Scientific name
Phoenicurus phoenicurus
Equipment used
Canon 40D, 600mm f4
They're gorgeous aren't they? I saw my first ones in June too, though I could have used a 200mm lens they were so close at times!

Superb image - very nice
