Christmas greetings fae the Torry Loon (Gavia stellata)

Possibly the message will require some translation. The bird is a Red-throated Diver, or Loon if you prefer. Loon is also the local Aberdonian term for a 'lad' or 'young man'. Torry is the part of Aberdeen where I live (see my local patch thread) and is also where the picture was taken. A guy from Torry is a 'Torry Loon'. Hope that makes sense!

Hi, haven't met a Torry Loon till now. Never got to visit as far as Aberdeen ... who knows .. one day perhaps! Until then have a great Christmas and the very best in the New Year!!
