They're experts at disappearing on trees, aren't they. They're very similar to our Treecreepers, which is my favourite woodland bird.

A super picture this - thanks so much for showing it to us.
 
Lovely Creeper capture...Regarding Herring Gulls in this area...I live in Hastings Old Town, UK, and we are surrounded by Herring Gulls. Most houses in this are will have a nest on their roof. We are about 150 yards from the beach and there are actually hundreds of them on the beach...And all the adults look like the one in my pic.
