Australian Stick insect (Walkingstick) (Phasmatodea)

The Phasmatodea are an order of insects whose members are variously known as stick insects, stick-bugs, walkingsticks, stick animals, or bug sticks. They are also occasionally referred to as Devil's darning needles, although this name is shared by both dragonflies and crane flies.
Habitat
They usually live in gum trees but are sometimes found in gardens on rose bushes or fruit trees. However because of their excellent camouflage, they are often overlooked. When disturbed, a phasmid may sway, imitating a dead leaf or stick swaying in the breeze.

Way back in my young days I used to keep stick insects as pets... didn't quite look like your ones though - yours are much finer!!!

Thanks for the memories Himself!
