American Bumblebee (Bombus pensylvanicus: Apidae) male, 1.6-2.2 cm (0.64-0.87 in) long. Photographed at Mealycup Sage (Salvia farinacea: Lamiaceae).
Habitat
Post Oak Savannah vegetation area, open manicured park with scattered pecan and oak trees with two disjunct riparian woodlands plus Briar Creek at ca. 91 m (300 ft) elevation.
