Elanus axillaris

Description

Photographed near Sydney, Australia.

Identification

Present species is endemic to Australia. Not to be confused with the closely related Elanus caeruleus (which often is called the Black-shouldered Kite, too) of S. Europe, Africa, S. Asia and New Guinea.
