Wader - phalarope or just sanderling? (1 Viewer)

photographed this wader yesterday on a ferry on Lake Constance (inland Germany, bordering Switzerland; near Friedrichshafen), quickly thought might be sanderling, but the flight was not really straight, photos are bad, sorry, due to distance and moving ship.

Eye mask [and thin wingbar at primaries] indicates phalarope sp. over Sanderling.
Which phalarope...?
Lack of visible wingbar thickening on secondaries, and length and fineness of bill, plus seeming white on rump sides [though may be photo effect] indicate Red-necked more likely. [Also meandering flight is a Red-necked Phalarope character]

Images 211 and 220 seem to show more of a Calidris face to me. Structurally, I am seeing Sanderling more than a phalarope. Happy to learn more here, though.

Thank you both for your help, have uploaded some three additional photographs (although I feel they are not really good).

The upper and underwing pattern is the deciding feature in my opinion - Sanderling. The bill/head shape also looks better for Sanderling in the first two photos.

thank you very much, so probably it is a red knot? Because it looks a bit "fat" (sorry, dear knot), especially in photo 218, 220. Also rump looks whitish, which is more in favour of knot than sanderling...what was irritating me was that the flight did not look like a typical Calidris, making me think a bit of phalarope, but of course, the problem are the bad photos. Thynk you
