Taiwan Sandpiper ID please (1 Viewer)

On a recent trip to Taiwan, I took these photos of sandpipers (two different birds) in the Beitou drainage canal in Taipei. I'd appreciate any help with ID - and guidance on what features are indicative of the ID. Apologies that the photos are not high quality.

The first two pics are of the same bird I believe. The final 3 pics are of a different bird a bit later in the afternoon.

Wood Sandpiper, in many parts of Asia, this can be very common, the spangled back is an obvious feature.
