Spider ID England please (1 Viewer)

Actually, I think the legs suggest it isn't garden spider - the banding doesn't look right, they're rather thin. I think it's a Zygiella, although 15mms can't be right, not if that's body length anyway.
 
The body length quoted was an overall measurement, legs and all; and from memory rather than using a ruler. Presumably body length 'BL' includes both abdomen and carapace - can't find an actual definition for BL.

I agree that Zygiella is probably correct and will change my records accordingly.
