    This is a male showing all black plumage and reddish throat unlike the recently split Barbados Bullfinch in which both sexes look like females. Confined to the Lesser Antilles this is the race "L. n. sclateri" found only on St. Lucia and characterized by smaller size and black (not reddish)...
