    Hi Paul and John, I see what you mean - access is via the Newton Stacey end of the common. I parked at the Bransbury end (SU 422 423) and walked to SU 415 417. Its a very impressive area - wild and undisturbed. John

    First time poster on this thread, from Ireland but currently based in Hook. There was about 20 Hawfinches at the Blackwater Arboretum in the New Forest on Sunday 11th. Also a GS Woodpecker in the area. Does anybody know any good spots for Barn Owl in Hampshire?
