    I guess you are talking about the Farlington/Langstone Harbour area? Is this a list of species you have seen there recently? Are you sure about the Merlin?

    Song Thrush, but with a pigment problem causing it to have a few white feather on the back of the nape. Quite common in thrushes, i often see it (because its more obvious ) in Blackbirds.
