    Talking of waders at Cley, does anybody know whether the Baird's Sand at Cley was genuine? It was reported initially, then reidentified as a Little Stint. Then, the following day it came on as Baird's plus 4 Little Stints. No mention on this thread...

    Horsey-Waxham last two mornings: Lapland Bunting, singles near Pipe Dump both days. Whinchat, 1, Wheatear, 2, Yellow Wag 2-3, Hobby 1-2. Lots of Whitethroats, Lesser 'throats and Blackcaps, with a handful of other warblers. Very few phylloscs. Cheers Jono

    Waxham this morning: 2 Whinchat, 5 Wheatear, 5 Lesser Whitethroats, Yellow Wagtail. Buckenham this afternoon: 2 Wood Sands, 2 Green Sands, 6 Common Sands, 3 Ruff, 2 Little Egret, Hobby. Cheers Jono

    At Winterton 5.30pm - 7.30pm yesterday: 1 Sooty Shearwater, 8 Manx Shearwater and 8 Arctic Skuas all north. Cheers Jono

    But surely it is helpful to know what is going on? So if there is a fall happening or a good movement of seabirds etc, you are aware of it and then can get out in the field to "find your own birds". The sharing of news is not necessarily so that people can twitch.

    Smart nominate male Woodchat Shrike at Winterton south dunes this afternoon, in gorse bushes about 500 m south of the beach road. A couple of photos on my blog. This morning, 3 (Greenland) Wheatears on Strumpshaw Hill, plus Lesser Whitethroat and Turtle Dove. Cheers Jono

    I had a male Ring Ouzel on Strumpshaw Hill (in the paddock first) and absolutely no Wheatears first thing today. Then at 3.30pm I had another look and there was at least 3 on the hill. A fall? Maybe or maybe not; I guess they could have been birds moving north locally that had arrived previously...

    Smart bird. The Water Pips at Buckenham (up to 12 the other day) have been looking very smart too - I have a reasonable photo on my blog taken in drizzle. Dawn this morning 26 Avocet, 3 Sedge Warbler, 1-2 Water Pipits. Cheers Jono

    At last, one Little Ringed Plover on Buckenham this morning, plus 11 Dunlin, 3 Water Pipit, 2 Avocet, 14 Golden Plover. One female Goldeneye on Whitlingham at 1pm yesterday. Cheers Jono
