    Musing on birding as a hobby but...

    Aye, active doesn't necessarily mean more accessible. I can think of certain birds that are very active in the morning but they're so far up in the tree tops the best you're gonna get are numerous fleeting glimpses.

Do you see a bit of magic when you see a skylark in the sky, or astounding beauty in a little robin or a pair of stonechats, or can't help laughing when a woodpecker or some such pecks a smaller bird on the top of the head to get...
