I'm having a problem with my old list, which got out of order. I then put it in rough chronological order. Some of those birds are now hard to remember. Like short billed dowitcher, "Missouri with David" says my note. The eBird list with fewer but more accurate birds is coming along with 360...

Common Gallinule. I had seen it years ago. Then I saw Moorhen in Finland. After that the Gallinule became its own species. Before that maybe 2 years ago, a motmot in Mexico. Our Mexican ruins guide promised me a plain chachalaca but it never showed. He seemed to know the bird individual.

My last one was Mourning Warbler. A bit unsatisfying, as I did not get a good look at the front, partial side view only. A birder had chased it for half an hour and seen it many times, I had 10 minutes only. So I wrote it down as a lifer, as it turned out to be #300 and I have been after one...

A boring goose, white fronted. But I was happy to find Winter Wren for the second time. The first time was an ID by someone else and I saw it for less than a second. This one I could follow for minutes. So it is now fismly on my list. Some difficult IDs I make a point of listing the year of the...

I had four interesting sparrows last saturday. One I claim to have seen in the spring, which I had forgotten but marked down. Included LeConte's Sparrow. These 4 were at Riverlands by Alton. You get all kinds of sparrows in the reserves along the river, that you do not see elsewhere. The river...
