    This is the new smart watch which is constantly tracking me and telling me about my texts etc. I will eventually work out how to turn some of these things off. The Casio had no problems apart from during covid.

    It really doesn't. I suspect it will be useful in the tropics, if I'm not in forest, or on my trips to southern France etc but for anyone mainly using one in the UK, I'd save £70 and buy the non solar one.

    I think that's normal. My Tom Tom running watch, which is about to lose all technical support, has a similar thing. Pity they can't just use the same cables as most things.

    I've been in flat Suffolk for a while so the watch hasn't been used in anger yet so it's hard to say. I will say my Suunto wasn't that old when its altimeter started giving erratic results. The new model may be an improvement and I have to admit I preferred it asthetically but that expereience...
