    The difference wide-open is notorious (in favour of the sigma). I also like the bokeh. Only problem is the weight. I like to walk around and I don't like to take a tripod with me unless if I'm going to stay in a hide or to a cliff for sea birds.. I wonder if I can carry it for a few hours...

    That's true. But I will barely be able to afford the Sports version (if I decide) so I won't get another body. My wife would throw my things outside hehe. So 840mm is the best I can wish for :)

    and a larger front element and more elements including 2 Fluorite ones.. It looks liked Sigma picked theTamron and improved it... time will tell. It's only good news for us.
