If I've missed any threads where people have taken time to explain ID's, especially tricky ones, or I've missed any unusual/new species (these will mostly be SE Asian and African species) let me know. If the latter also give me a clue in which section to put it!

    No I've let it drop for a bit. I had a computer crash which means I have to cut and paste the whole post and put it back into the mind-map i generated it it in order to have a fighting change of editing it successfully. One day I'll feel compelled to do it, but its about 25 pages of code!

I started when I'd typed out how to tell Meadow Pipit from Tree Pipit...
