    Blithfield Also, RBA pager just reported 4 juv Spotshanks in Tad Bay at Blithfield. Certainly quite a scarcity in Staffs in recent years! No sign at 7.15 tonight, though had 3 Little gull, 10 Egyptian Geese and 14 Little Egret from the causeway, increase of 1 egret from previous reports.

    Waxwings Quick trip over to Tamworth this morning for the Waxwings. 3 still present though being constantly chased of by a pair of Mistle Thrush who are guarding the berries.

    Ref naming a rare bird. The chase is a big area and no details are given. Can't see a problem myself. It doesnt state a nest site or mention a pair, just a sighting of a single bird. Whats the use of a rare and scarce thread if simple sightings can't be listed? I know i'm going to get shot down...

    Little Egret There is a Little Egret on the river Trent flooding. On the A513 at Wolsley Bridge. Approx 1200 yards from the A51 roundabout/ Wolsley arms junction. Bird was opposite the Shugbrough Shooting grounds entrance. 12.40am. Regards Glyn
