    Dunlin and Golden Plover

    I have often seen Dunlin with Golden plover during the breeding season, on the peatlands here in Sutherland. GP are always very alert for danger and i assumed that the Dunlin were keeping close. to use their neighbours as a look out. At Forsinard, GP often leave the peatlands to feed lower down...

    I was 12 it was Boxing day 76, Med gull in Inverness also Great Crested Grebe both were rare in Highland then!

    Super catch at the weekend in VC107, 66 species and two NFM , Beautiful Carpet (lives up to it's name) and Beautiful China -mark. Also my first Autumn moth Rosy Rustic.
