    2017 Western Palearctic Big Year

Male and female Pine Bunting have just been reported again by Swiss Bird Alert from the usual place in Ticino. So there should be at least 4 birds in the area. Quite a garanteed twitch, I suppose.

    Driver for trip to Ethiopia

I did a 3 week birding trip this autumn organised trough Nurgi Birding Ethiopia. Our driver was Mesfin and I can recommend him 100%. Not a bird guide, he knew all the sites for the most important targets, had contacts at every site, joined us for birding all the time and handled...

    Birding Eaglenest (Myzornis clip)

I'm just back from an excellent birding trip to NE-India (Eaglenest, Mandala,Nameri, Kaziranga) this February. South Sinai (Ras al Mohammed & Nabq)

There were plenty of Coots, Teals, Little Grebes, ... . Check it...

South Sinai (Ras al Mohammed & Nabq)

Here is a short report about a very successfull week (2.-9.10.2012) in South Sinai, mainly at Dahab, with one daytrip to Ras Mohamed and Nabq. There were many migrants around Dahab, especially in the hotel grounds of the Ibis Styles Lagoona hotel. This must be for sure the best migrant-trap in...

South Sinai (Ras al Mohammed & Nabq)

I will be heading soon to Dahab and intend to visit Ras al Mohammed and Nabq. 1. Where is the best site for Sooty Falcon at Ras al Mohammed? From where to look for migrant raptors there? 2. Where to go at Nabq? Main targets there are Sooty Gull, Terns and maybe waders. Best regards! Adrian
