    Apologies for posting in rare birds section but this is where the most likely monarch finders will hang around. Any on scilly or anywhere else yet?

    Day tripping Borneo Rainforest Lodge

    Anyone know if it's possible to day trip BRL whilst staying elsewhere? £700 for a couple of days birding is way beyond my budget, wouldn't mind having a look around though as it sounds more productive than the field centre.

    Moorhen and coot territorial flights

    This was prompted by the oystercatcher thread. Anybody else hear either of these birds performing territorial flights on spring nights? Moorhen regularly fly around giving a 'kek-kek-kek' call, often hundreds of metres from water. Coot do a similar kind of thing although the call is similar to...
