    Eyepiece comparability

    For many years I have used the 88 Prominar with the 20-60 TE-10Z eyepiece. I am thinking of upgrading to the new 99mm kowa scope. Does anyone know whether my current eyepiece will fit a the new body?

    Ultravid HD plus 7x42 eyecup detents

    When Roger Vine wrote his review of these bins he found that they had only two screw-up eyecup positions. Things seem to have changed. I took delivery of a pair of 7x42s yesterday and have been spending today birding with them. Really classy bins and I love 'em! They have at least 5, maybe 6...

    Hi all, I am wrestling with decisions about whether to buy a pair of NL Pure 8x32 vs Zeiss SF 8x32. I need something lighter than the 8x42 SFs that I already have. These will be used for birding in woodland, lakes and marshes. Which would y'all recommend?

    Hello from Vermont, U.S.

    Hi all, just joined Birdforum. Have been a keen (obsessive?) birder since I grew up in Scotland 60 years ago. Was a professional avian ecologist for several decades until I retired. Have birded in about 50 different countries in all continents except Antarctica.
