Product Review: The Extraordinary Svbony SV202 8 x 42 ED.

Today I had the chance to try the SA205 8x42 with a low sun. It handles glare very well: certainly better than the SV202 8x42 does…

Product Review: The Extraordinary Svbony SV202 8 x 42 ED.

The SA205, compared to SV202: considerably less sharp less magnification (8x42 variants) less vivid colours less bright € 73,- more expensive FF barely noticeable Disappointing indeed!

Product Review: The Extraordinary Svbony SV202 8 x 42 ED.

Well the new Svbony (SA205 8x42) arrived today. They are more compact than SV202 8x42; focusser is more smooth. But as far as the view is concerned the first impressions under a cloudy sky are not overwhelming.

Product Review: The Extraordinary Svbony SV202 8 x 42 ED.

Just a “heads up”. Svbony seems to present from now a “flat flield” version with a little bit better specs: SA205

Advice: Not too expensive toss in the pocket/bag compact binoculars?

Yes, these are very nice indeed: however I prefer the 10x25 variant.

Thanks Neil for the effort made and for the find! (Remarkable still that there is so little response from this community to an interesting post like this).

Beginner compact Binoculars advice - Nikon / Opticron / Minox

Yes you may encounter a QC issue, but from my experience I can testify that Svbony customer support deals with a reported issue swiftly, friendly and -most important- satisfyingly.

Beginner compact Binoculars advice - Nikon / Opticron / Minox

-Svbony sv202 8x32 ED -Pentax Papilio 6,5x21 (or 8,5x21) Both nice and clear, each with its own strengths. Both within your budget. For me Svbony is the best choice (except for very close focus which is 50 cm for Papilio and 2m for Svbony).

    Bushnell Forge 10x30?

Thanks for your account, Winigit! The Forge 10x30 is supposed to weigh 388 grams: that is a little bit less than the models mentioned..

    Bushnell Forge 10x30?

Hello, I wondered if anybody already tested the small Forge and compared these with other small 10’s like M7 10x30, Traveller ED 10x32 etc..
