Comparing 10x32 NL with 8x42 NL, some (not ground breaking) thoughts...

:ROFLMAO: Bird forum is the physics wanna be forum.:ROFLMAO: NO clue if what you mentioned is correct #Grackle314, but I doubt that the 32 mm gathers/transmit more light into the eye in sunny or not sunny day. I might be wrong, If you have a simpler way of explaining it much appreciated if...

Change to Zeiss SFL 10x40 or stick with my Leicas

Could you briefly summarise the differences amongst the binos you compared? The best and worst of each?

Comparing 10x32 NL with 8x42 NL, some (not ground breaking) thoughts...

The difference between 42mm and 32mm is more tangible at dawn, dusk or cloudy days. 42mm gather just a bit more light which for me I can notice the difference. Big deal....not really. Myself I use the binos when I go to the mountain, that is, whenever does not rain and is sunny or mainly without...

Brief reviews about Zeiss victory SFL 8/10 x40

I agree with everything you mentioned Denco. If I ever had to buy another Bino, JUST ONE out of the 2 brands I have, I would buy the SF again. These fits best for me. I do have the NL 10x32 and SF 10x42 as well as EL 10x42. for me, the SF are superior. I find the focus better and the image...

NL Pure vs EL - 10x42

I should have continued ..... It is also a weight factor. On cloudy less sunny days I rather take my 42mm with me whereas sunny bright days the 32mm. For me 10x42 set up works the best in all situations (haven´t tried the 12x42 NL), but for long hiking days 32mm is a delight.

NL Pure vs EL - 10x42

Ahhh OPTICA EXOTICA. I did enjoy very much watching his videos and his bino reviews and comparisons loaded at the same time with silly jokes. A pity he decided to take them down BUT completely understandable. For me hard to decide too. I can not get used to my EL focuser, love the binos though...

NL Pure vs EL - 10x42

Come on, hobbies are made to spend money. 3000€/usd is expensive? for something that will last 10 years minimum. Well... No is its not. It all depends on how many hobbies you got. (wife, kid, alcohol other drugs are not considered hobbies.)

    Swarovski focus wheels

Understood, I assumed they were different swarovski models... my mistake.

    Swarovski focus wheels

WOOW a bit confused here. Can a standardised product give such different results in all 3 different models, SLC, EL, NL? I have to admit that owning an EL, the focuser is not 100% perfect for birding. ABSOLUTELY agree. Though I believe the focuser problem has been solved with the NLs. I do not...

Swarovski NL 8x42 vs Skyrover apo 8x42 sharpness contrast microcontrast etc

Uhmmmmm I disagree but unfortunately I do not say the absolute truth, which is subject to each individual. For me SF give a crispier image and even more, a more relaxed viewing experience. I do not know if resolution and image sharpness are the same tough. I can distinguish a difference between...

10x32 EL SV or 10x42 SLC

I agree with chill6x6, if there is no usage discomfort, I will go with the 10x32SV. If there was a price difference, being the SLC cheaper, which I believe is not the case ...then the SLC

10x32 EL SV or 10x42 SLC

Few days ago another birder carried the SLC 10x42 and since I read here in BF how great they are I ask him if I could try them. Was surprised how comfortable they were, no black outs and lighter than the ones I carried that day EL 10x42pro. With my EL y tend to use full extended the eye reliefs...

    12x42 NL Pure.....

Expensive or worth the price. I am sure that many in this forum have 3 or more Binos in their shelves gathering dust that they rarely use them. Is that expensive? If you hesitate about buying them, well that means you are not short of money. What the heck give yourself a treat and if at the end...

Dusk light performance relative to weight, NL Pure 10x32 vs 10x42

When it comes a sunny day I enjoy bird watching MUCH more. All colors pop and it is a treat to use the binos. That said, at sunny days I prefer to use 10x32 but If I see that there is a chance that the sunny day will become cloudy I rather take 10x42 binos. I believe the light gathering in x42...

    Swarovski NL vs EL

As Paultricounty has said they are quite similar. The mayor differences are the wider FoV and the focuser. EL had that missing for me, smooth focus mechanism. I got the NL in 32 and have to say that there is quite some FLARE in some angles.

Digiscoped photos of Zeiss Binocular part2 (10x40 SFL & 10x42 HT)

Woowww great pictures once again. It is unbelievable for me to take such pictures only with the binos and a phone. You do have talent JackJack and quite a steady pulse.

What makes binos "pop" in specific scenarios?

Pop and never stop, well buy one and you will see how you soon be eager to buy another one soon. What they have mention earlier is correct, the more money you pay the more features you will get. THOUGH no bino will be absolutely perfect. Some are the ergonomics, some are the focus wheel, some...
