    Got a better view of it on the ground this morning (from about 200m away with binocs). Overall looks just like a Common Sandpiper except for that white rump. Didn't get a good look at the leg colouring. Thanks for the help in tying this down!

    My bird recognition is in the early stages so this might be a simple one. Bird about the size of a Snipe/Sandpiper, spotted on nearby river bank.
