    the attached are shots of one from a group of little brown jobs feeding in the fields near the Tagus river between Escaroupim and Salvaterra in the beginning of september possibly the pictures are to indistinct to allow a proper ID (at least they do for me), but i thought that just possibly they...

    not totally sure about this bird, but to me it looks like a young starling, and given the time of the year (end of August) and location (Vila Real in Portugal) I would think spotless starling to be more likely than common starling - am I close or way off ?

    just glimpsed this bird in the reed beds of Forest Farm on the outskirts of Cardiff apart from the fact that it must be some type of warbler, and does not appear to be a reed warbler, i must admit that i'm a bit at a loss what type of warbler this might be - my best guess being a willow warbler...

    another duck observed a few days ago at Minsmere RSPB that i have trouble placing with not too much confidence i thought this might be a wigeon, but really not all that sure can anyone help ?
