    So it was an eventful day i had, ended up watching Short-Eared Owls for the first time but got this photo and when taken I thought it was just a buzzard in the background but focused on it anyway hence the Owl being out of focus but not 100% sure now as the distance it was away and the wing tips...

    A little help with ID please :) seen at New Lanark 2021

    Hi just looking through old photos to sort them onto a new hard drive and come across this bird which im struggling to get an id for, any help is appreciated. Photo was taken at New Lanark in August 2021, attached 2 base pictures and a slightly edited one incase it helps.

    Male Sparrowhawk? Seen today over Helensburgh, Scotland

    Plenty of pidgeons and song birds flying around undeterred by it flying above them, didn’t see it go in for a kill though was flying in circles watching below. hard to tell from picture but looks to be a male just looking for clarification on male or female or maybe its not a Sparrowhawk at all...

    Peregrine, Kestrel or Hobby? Prestwick Scotland

    24/03/2022 First thought kestrel but markings throwing me off, believe it to be a juvenile as i always struggle with those. seen chasing a starling but failed to catch due to a raven chasing it(not sure if the raven just wanted the breakfast for itself or was saving it) Thanks for any help :)

    Goose ID - Seen in West Lothian, Scotland

    Was with a canada goose if that helps, believe this may be the male as the canada goose came towards me and got out the water about 2 metres from me then this one got rather iritated squawking and moving fast towards where i was so i slowly edged away from the canada and it settled down

    Scotland, Firth of Clyde, Helensburgh, seen 8th of May

    Seen this bird just off the pier and have had a check through books to find it but stuggling to id, was floating along with head in the water and dived under the water a few times
