    Canon 300 2.8 IS vs 100 400

I have the 100-400mm and it is a very nice lens. It is quite portable and easy to handhold. The 300mm f2.8 is a great lens. It is very sharp and produces a different kind of photo from the 100-400mm. It has a very thin DOF and I like the creamy background it can produce. The ability to have a...

Review by 'Tonji' on item '393 ( AKA Bogen 3421 )'

I have used this head for three years with no problem at all. It is a robust item which will never break. I have two of them. I think its made of solid flat aluminum bar. I use it with a 500mm f4, 300mm f2.8, and a swaro scope. It must be the best buy of all the gimbal heads. The weight is...

Lowepro Lens Trekker 600 AW II

I think the main disadvantage of the Lowepro 600 AWII is that it is too long to be carried on a plane. If you need to fly with your camera then you will need another bag. Just get a plastic lens cap and you won't need to have the lens hood in the shooting position inside the bag. Just peel...

    Canon 500m f4 IS

Glazzers, You have three questions. 1) Is it Justifiable to spend on the lens? 2) Is it worth the money? 3) Is it carryable? I can give you my thought process when I decided to purchase a 500mm lens. I wanted the best quality pictures because traveling is very expensive. I would rather take...
