Product Review: The Nikon EII 10 x 35.
I have the 8x30 EII and, as an eyeglass wearer, find the eye relief not suitable at all for me. Others, I'm sure, will have different opinions, but for me the EII doesn't work well. -

Very nice collection, Jerry! I have the same models, all P*, but my 10x40 BGAT is a bit older than yours. The 7x42 & 8x56 are AK's, the other two SP.- MSP1LT

Ultravid BL, is it still available?
Hey Alaska, I have the 2017 edition of the 8x42 Safari that is HD Plus. I believe the edition prior to that lacked the latest coatings/updates. From what I can determine, they are a special edition of the discontinued black BL model. -

Zeiss SFL 8x30?
Indeed, Andy. I can certainly see the appeal of this glass by the many here on BF who rave about it. For a person who does not wear glasses, I suspect there's little not to like about the E2. -

Hey Brock! I, as you, suffer from astigmatism which requires me to use glasses in order to gain a truly clear viewing experience. My E2's serial number is 82097X, so I gather they possess the most recent coatings/updates. I can see how someone who does not require eyeglasses could get along... -

Zeiss SFL 8x30?
At the risk of getting dogpiled here, I have the Nikon E2 8x30's as well, and, FOR ME, these bino's, while quite sharp as you stated, aren't wide-angled anything. As an eyeglass wearer, they actually offer, FOR ME, a very restricted FOV; I gather it's due to the very small eye relief but... -

Cleaning a fogged barrel early Trinovid 10x40B
FWIW, I had 2 of the older Trinovids, the 7x35 & 8x40, both suffering from what I initially thought to be internal fogging. Upon closer inspection, however, the silver on the prisms had actually deteriorated over time which gave the appearance of fogging. The only recourse was to replace the...
