Broken focusknob Swarovski EL, more people having this?

A friend from Asia posted his broken focusknob on Facebook. He agreed that I post it here. I know two more birders who had the same and it also happened in warm, humid conditions. Are their more owners familiar with this problemen? Although I am sure swaro will solve this I wonder what could be...

Brief review of Kowa genesis 10x33 (In comparison with Swarovski EL 10x32 and others

Hi, thanks for the comparison but to meet is not obvious at all that the swaro has a sharper image except for the edges. Of course the swaro is brighter. Could you explain why the the swaro's central sharpness is better to your eyes?

    Eyepiece comparability

Yes, it will fit. I have the same eyepiece (+ the 30W) on my 883 and both fit the 99 which I have tested. I think they even have a slightly higher magnification (my 30x became a 35x)

REVIEW KOWA TSN-66 A PROMINAR - a little fluorite gem with incredible performance!

I also had the privilege to review a TSN 66A and it totally convinced me. In The Netherlands it sells for a few hundred euro's less than the Swaro-equivalent. I hope you can translate this: Review Kowa TSN 66A

    883 or 66a?

I have reviewed the 66A and I own the 883 since 2009. Although I consider my 883 as a real cherry, the 66A I reviewed came extremely close. But indeed make sure you have a species to your likings. I hope that you can translate the article: Review Kowa TSN 66A

REVIEW KOWA TSN-66 A PROMINAR - a little fluorite gem with incredible performance!

I also have had the privilege to try a Kowa TSN 66A and I can confirm that it is an absolute winner

Kowa Genesis, which model is best in line?

I totally agree with Bentley03 with the addition that I only had to try one. In addition: I bought the Kowa Genesis 8,5x44 as a back up for my Swaro EL SV 8,5x42 but very quickly the Kowa became my number one due to the advantages said by Bentley03. In other threads I now see many "eye candy"...

    New Genesis Models?

I had an EDG 8x42 as well in 2012. Lovely binoculars and I am sure I would still own them except for the focus wheel problem. Smooth as silk but the dioptre wandered together with it and Nikon couldn't provide me a normal working example. Too bad

Any sub-alpha 30-32mm class binoculars that still feel like an alpha ones?

I really think you should try Kowa Genesis/Prominar XD 8x33: they worked excellent next to my EL 8,5x42sv!

R7 ideas for birds in flight and in low light situations

I have my R7 with RF 100-400 now for about 5 weeks and every owner will confirm that it's a bargain in terms of AF, picture quality, battery life, weight, ease of use etc. Most of the pictures I see on BF are excellent but .... they should be: individual birds closer by, bigger raptors in...

    New Genesis Models?

Hi, a few things I like better, although they are very close of course: yes, it's a little heavier but the balance and stability are great. The eyecups fit my glasses better, with the EL/SV I see more blackouts. I like the focusser better: smoother in both was and it feels more solid. And...

    New Genesis Models?

Although I am very happy with my Genesis 8,5x44 and prefer it above my EL SV 8,5x42 I would like to see a little loss of weight and brighter in low light. Of course wider FOV and edge sharpness are welcome but please keep the focusser :-) Oh, and just keep the diopter simple!
