    It was direct flight maybe a couple of metres above the water. There’s there also thought it looked cormorant like but clearly it wasn’t

    Thank you all for your suggestions. The wing marking matches the scoter closest, not sure about the size though.

    Sadly I couldn’t get a picture as we just saw it fly by. I thought it looked like a cormorant or similar but it had wide white patch on its wing. Can anyone help from that little info? Thank you

    I hope you can help me. We saw these two birds at Blackwater yesterday. They were at a distance and there was a marked difference in size. We wondered if they are the two different yellowlegs? But I’m the first to admit we lack knowledge! Thanks for reading

    I hope this works! I recently got a new app which helps I’d bird sounds. Today this clip was given an id but I wasn’t sure if it is right or not. I don’t know how to shorten it (sorry) but it reall is nearing 40 seconds before it kicks in. Any help would be much ly appreciated...
