Product Review: The Sky Rover Banner Cloud 8 x 42 Binocular

Probably more of an educated guess knowing Chinese business/"development" practices.

    Oops, I forgot about that.

10x low light binoculars for around €1000 ?

@Viraj Sorry, I never noticed that you had posted some questions to me about the Nighteagle. Just saw it right now. I mainly bought it for astro use but I don't stargaze all that often anymore so I rarely use it as it is rather heavy. For walks and hiking I prefer something a bit more...

Diamondback hd 10x42 vs Viper HD 12x50.

The Diamondbacks are very usable and quite okay for the price. Build quality is excellent. I have the 12x50 and can't confirm the criticism at all. The only issue is the slightly more visible false color. But it's not worse than other binos in that price range. And sensitivity to false color is...

    Help with vintage Binos

Nice bino in any case. Keep it and use it. It won't fetch much when sold but it still is collectible IMHO. I prefer the amber coatings over the more common blueish ones as they are often more color neutral.

Appreciate Binocular Advice for Nonprofit Outdoor & Nature Program

Opticron Adventurer T WP porro in 8x32 might be another option to look at. It's also sold as Celestron "Ultima" sometimes. I bought mine for around 60€ but that was an Amazon discount. Pretty nice for that price.

I know the specs. And I own a ton of super wide angle binos. But thanks

Product Review: The Sky Rover Banner Cloud 8 x 42 Binocular

Not really. The thing is. The banner cloud is already at a pretty high price. If they added decent quality control (which obviously they didn't) it would raise the price to a level where it would directly compete with other brands like Meopta. And if the BC was made in Europe, with 30 year...

The APM 6.5x32 ED IF, compared to the APM 6x30 – A Few Thoughts

    @Thotmosis The IF-version?

Product Review: The Sky Rover Banner Cloud 8 x 42 Binocular

Plus 19% taxes in Germany. 582.13€ + 35.36€ shipping = 617.49€ x 0.19 (tax) = 117.32 617.49 + 117.32 = 734.81€ all together. For that price I am definitely looking at other options. Thats 200€ more than what I paid for my Made in Japan Fuji HC 8x42. For a few extra degrees of FoV? Nope.

The APM 6.5x32 ED IF, compared to the APM 6x30 – A Few Thoughts

I'm actually much more interested in this bino and especially the CF version than in the hyped Banner Cloud. I'm just a huge porro fan.

Product Review: The Sky Rover Banner Cloud 8 x 42 Binocular

Considering that amounts to around 730€ incl 19% tax plus shipping, I'm very much not interested.
