Ring Ouzel

Known affectionately as the 'mountain blackbird' in England; an old Scottish name for the bird is: 'chat of the juniper'. The Ring Ouzel has been on the UK Red List since 2002 due to long-term declines in breeding population. It is the only thrush that visits Britain just for the summer months.

Uplands, crags, beside stream.
